Material dispatch and storage
Election officials say that 14 categories of centrally procured materials – including ballot papers, ballot boxes, seals, indelible ink, voter education posters and result forms – have already been dispatched to the districts.
District Election Offices and Provincial Election Offices have, in parallel, procured 37 additional types of locally sourced items such as pens, stamp pads, ropes, lighting equipment and furniture, which are now being packaged and moved towards storage sites near polling locations.
Weather and remote access
Authorities acknowledge that snow and difficult terrain in several high-altitude districts could affect last-mile delivery.
To address this, helicopters and specialised vehicles will be used in some mountainous constituencies where roads may be blocked in early March.
The Commission maintains that, barring unexpected extreme weather events, all polling centres are expected to receive full sets of materials with sufficient buffer time before March 5.
